Privacy policy

The German Datenschutzerklärung is the legally binding version. Summary:

  • Controller: GENIX Consulting Ltd., 47 Strovolos Avenue, 5th floor Kyros Tower, 2018 Strovolos, Nicosia, Cyprus (represented by its director, Linda Kästner); email
  • No cookies, no tracking, no analytics, no third-party scripts or fonts. The only exception is the contact page, which loads Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the contact form (see below).
  • Hosting and delivery: Cloudflare Workers and CDN, Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, page, browser type) as a processor under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the Cloudflare Data Processing Addendum. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (listing); transfers to the USA rely on the European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR).
  • Affiliate links: Amazon may set cookies only after you click through to Amazon.
  • Contact form: we process the details you enter (name, email address, message) only to handle and answer your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). After you submit the form, your details are sent via Cloudflare as an email to our mailbox . The website does not store them in a database; they exist only in that email. We delete them once they are no longer needed to handle your enquiry, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: to protect the contact form against bots, the contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.). Your browser loads a script from challenges.cloudflare.com; Turnstile processes technical signals such as IP address, TLS fingerprint, user agent, the sitekey and the website. When you submit the form, our server has the result confirmed by Cloudflare; only then is the message forwarded. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in protecting the form against abuse and spam). Cloudflare acts as our processor under the Data Processing Addendum; according to Cloudflare, it also processes the signals as a controller to improve Turnstile's bot detection.   • Your GDPR rights (Art. 15 to 21) and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR) apply. Authority competent for the controller: Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, Kypranoros 15, 1061 Nicosia, Cyprus, www.dataprotection.gov.cy.
